A Censored Race War

Thomas Sowell writes at The National Review about the continuing attacks by mobs of young blacks against whites and other groups, and the Elite Media Monoculture’s cover up of the story. In the old days before the internet and social media this would not ever have seen the light of day. But now thanks to many brave people in the new media and regular citizens with blogs, Facebook and Twitter, we can now find out about this disturbing pattern of events. Sowell reports on an attack against two reporters that went unremarked for some time until Fox reported on the story. And some of you may still not have heard about the similar attack on Matthew Owens in Alabama when a black mob went after him on his own property.

With the election of Obama it seems that many people in the black community have decided that they have free reign to act on their hate of the majority population. Moved by rage, envy and resentment, they are lashing out against those who they see as more successful and prosperous in society.

And this is, as many people have pointed out, largely due to black failure. Blacks as a group have not had the success that decades of liberal social engineering were supposed to produce. Trillions of dollars of wealth have been taken from the majority white population and transferred to those who are poor, and still there has been no real change in the life of many blacks. Meanwhile other groups such as Asians and even Hispanics have been making progress in the American economic system.

Blacks have not been able, or willing for the most part, to take on the kinds of personal responsibility and sacrifice that are required to make it in this country. As America becomes more technological, employers need more educated workers. Reading, writing and math skills are ever more important if you want to move up the employment ladder. Without these skills, one is likely to remain at the bottom of the economic barrel. And blacks continue to fail when it comes to education. Thus we see a population with few skills, little wealth and edged on by an administration that wants to use their frustration for political ends.
