The New York Times reports that the Obama-Fuhrer’s so called “Jobs Plan” won’t generate any jobs. But you knew that already, didn’t you?
Employers who are interviewed in this article point out the obvious fact that it is the state of the economy that drives business and thus any change in employment. Simply put, a business will hire you if they need to have work done. Without demand for their products and services, there is little reason to hire, and no tax break will change that fact. This sort of thing should be pretty simple to understand, but somehow Obama and his followers don’t seem to be able to grasp this basic idea. Demand drives hiring, not big government gymnastics with the tax code.
And while it would be a good thing to look seriously at overhauling the entire tax code so as to stop punishing the successful and thus to get the government boot of the neck of the productive, that’s not what the Obama-Fuhrer has in mind. He thinks that a few crumbs thrown our way will get him re-elected. Well, good luck with that. I tend to think that the American people are on to this scam and are not going to reward the Democrats next November. Attacking the American economy in the name of “fairness” is not the way to create jobs.
