The Daily Caller reports on this rather strange attempt to spin the Democrat loss of the NY 9 district in an upset win for Republicans that happened this week. Congressman Henry Waxman is saying that Jews in the heavily Democrat leaning district voted to protect their wealth.
Well, this is a very interesting admission. Tammy Bruce talks about the “compulsion to confess.” So let’s take Waxman at his word. From whom exactly were Jews trying to protect their wealth? Would the logical answer not be from Democrats? I mean, who is more anxious to re-distribute other people’s money than a leftist Democrat? And if that is the case, then does it mean that at least some of the Jewish community, that regularly could be counted on as dependable Democrat votes, is in danger of switching sides and voting for Republicans in November ? Could this be a developing trend across the country? And does it portend possible changes in other groups that have voted Democrat in the past?
No one can answer with certainty at this point in time and with so many months to go before the election, but the Democrats can’t be happy that these questions are even being asked, or at the results in these most recent special elections.
