Because he cares so much about the “little people,” Obama’s White House is demanding new taxes on soup kitchens and other organizations that provide relief to people who are in need.
Yesterday, it was announced that an astounding 1 in 6 Americans are living in poverty. President Obama’s response? To demand a tax on donations to soup kitchens and other charities that help people desperately in need. The President’s proposal will impact approximately 40% of all the tax deductible contributions, and essentially penalize soup kitchens, hospitals, and churches that provide essential services to those who need them most. It’s no wonder this tax hike has been rejected on both sides of the aisle.

The ranks of America’s poor swelled to almost 1 in 6 people last year, reaching a new high as long-term unemployment left millions of Americans struggling and out of work. The number of uninsured edged up to 49.9 million, the biggest in more than two decades. The Census Bureau’s annual report released Tuesday offers a snapshot of the economic well-being of U.S. households for 2010, when joblessness hovered above 9 percent for a second year. It comes at a politically sensitive time for President Barack Obama, who has acknowledged in the midst of a re-election fight that the unemployment rate could persist at high levels through next year. The overall poverty rate climbed to 15.1 percent, or 46.2 million, up from 14.3 percent in 2009. (The Associated Press, 9/13/11)
You know, I write this stuff mainly to let off steam and because I feel that for moral reasons people like myself need to speak out on what is happening to this country. Some blogs get tons of traffic. This is not one of those. That’s OK though, as getting big traffic is not why I do this. But I have to say that I do want every American to know that this stuff is going on. Many do, but others don’t.
Lots of people are just working hard trying to get by, pay their bills and not get kicked out of their homes. They may not have the time to spend on this that folks like I do. It is a luxury, no doubt about it. So even if only a few people read this, I will keep writing this stuff and pointing it out, as many other bloggers do. If enough of us are shouting this stuff to the winds, then it will get out to those who need to see it, if only by accident.
You need to be informed on these things because they are the driving force behind the suffering that the left is inflicting on all of us. You need to understand that they are doing this on purpose because they want to hurt you. They don’t like America and our way of life. They want to “fundamentally transform America” as Obama said during the campaign. And they mean to do it no matter how many people have to get run over in the process. You need to know what is happening and to talk to your friends and neighbors and let them know too. The more people are informed, the better chance we have of getting rid of these maniacs and their out of control destruction.
