I have been buying Goya products for as long as I can remember and they are very high quality. Here is my own small contribution to the cause:
Goya Black Bean Soup (my own recipe)
- Rinse 2 cups (dry) Goya black beans and then soak overnight in a large saucepan.
- Drain water and then replace it with fresh water an inch or two over the beans (which will have expanded)
- Chop and saute 1 jalapeno pepper for a minute or two and then add to beans.
- Add 1 tablespoon dry garlic, 1 tablespoon of sea salt, 2 tablespoons of dry onions, 2 tablespoons of cilantro.
- Boil (covered) on low heat for about 1.5 to 2 hours until beans are tender. Serve hot.
