Over the weekend the Democrats and The Elite Media Monoculture have been trying to push the meme that the S & P downgrade of America’s credit rating is the fault of regular Americans who are members of the Tea Party. You know, the people who want smaller government, less spending, less debt and lower taxes. Yeah, those people are somehow to blame for bigger government, gigantic spending, exploding debt and rising taxes.
In an alternative universe that you can reach through your local hyperspace wormhole.
It is a marvel to see that there are actually liberals and leftists in Washington who think this is going to work. We saw crusty old dinosaurs like John Kerry rolled out this weekend as well as spinmeister David Axelrod pushing the talking points in order to control the damage. They went on the Sunday shows to push the meme in the hope that somehow the American people would not notice that the Obama-Fuhrer has been president the last three years and that Democrats in congress have been making all of the economic decisions without the input of Tea Party conservatives or Republicans, even after the November elections. They truly think that Americans are going to by this load of crap.
But on Monday the markets made their own call on the issue by falling 635 points in a single day. I don’t think this kind of propaganda is working any longer for the Democrats. People are able to see the economic problems in their own lives. The exploding price of food, fuel and commodities. The collapse of the housing market continues. The employment picture is dismal to say the least. Lots of people are out of work, losing their homes, losing their retirement savings and losing their future hopes of a better life. Obama and the Democrats have brought them all of this and many people now know it.
The reality is that S &P was clear about why they issued the downgrade and it is entirely the fault of the Democrats who refuse to stop spending like an entire navy of drunken sailors. Simply put, our debt is growing ever larger and we have not taken proper steps to reverse the momentum in that direction. And the situation is only getting worse while the President’s primary goal seems to be having more parties.
