Speak Like a Child

Last night the Obama-Fuhrer went before the American people, at least those who still had enough interest to actually watch on TV or listen to the speech on the radio, to tell everyone how great he is and how stupid everyone else is for not doing what he says we should do. And of course, he also had to tell us all how The End of the World is Near if he doesn’t get lots of new taxes to spend.

“…the money was spent on trillions of dollars in new tax cuts,”

To Obama’s limited mind, all money is government money. Thus when taxes go down for any reason, that is the government “spending” money.

But if we stay on the current path, our growing debt could cost us jobs and do serious damage to the economy.

Unless I am mistaken, that’s already happened. We have had the benefit of out of control government spending since Obama has been in office. With Democrats in charge, spending went through the roof and the economy went “into the ditch”, as the left likes to say. Government has taken an ever larger share of the economy and the private sector has suffered accordingly.

The only reason this balanced approach isn’t on its way to becoming law right now is because a significant number of Republicans in Congress are insisting on a different approach — a cuts-only approach -– an approach that doesn’t ask the wealthiest Americans or biggest corporations to contribute anything at all.

This is, of course, a shot at the Tea Party conservatives in the congress who are trying to stop the country from going over the financial cliff, and by extension, the large number of Americans who voted them into office in November. And by “balanced”, the Obama-Fuhrer means more taxes and spending and few, if any, cuts to the overall level of spending.

Now I won’t continue to torture you with more Obama-Fuhrer quotes. If you want to read the whole text you can go to the Politico story. But it has become pretty obvious by now that we have a pentulant, thin-skinned, resentful and angry man-child in the oval office. He isn’t going to change or learn anything new or grow up. Our only choice in the next election is whether we want to put up with him for another four years or not.

I’m thinking that the next election is going to be a 10.9 on the Richter Scale.
