If you are a thinking individual and you are paying attention, you will have noticed that the left has dropped its mask completely and is now lying about pretty much everything. And it is important to note that there is a difference between being mistaken in a view or belief, and knowing that you are wrong and continuing in your course anyway. Let’s remember that a lie is the deliberate statement of that which you know to be incorrect and untrue. A lie is a claim that is not in accord with reality. The Obama administration, the members of his party and his supporters in The Elite Media Monoculture have all been reduced to telling blatant and deliberate lies in defense of ideas and policies that clearly don’t work and are damaging the country and its citizens.
The evidence that the administrations ideas and policies don’t work is piling up so high that regular people who are not political junkies and do not follow the news closely cannot help but notice that the claims of the elites don’t reflect the facts on the ground.
Harry Reid, the leader of the Senate Democrat majority, recently took to the floor of that body to give a little speech in which he claimed that all of the bad news that we have been hearing about the effects of The Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as ObamaCare, on regular Americans are lies.
Now if you are interested in knowing what the effects of this legislation are, you don’t have to work very hard to find out. Living, as we do, in the age of information, all that is needed is to go to your favorite search engine and type in “ACA” and “hospitals” or “cancellations” or other such terms if you want to find a wealth of stories of the damage that this law is doing to regular people and to the health care system writ large. There is no shortage of evidence that ObamaCare is not working out in the way that its defenders said it would. And not only is the law not working as described; it is much, much worse than regular people realized it would be.
The left knows that their ideas don’t work but they continue to be committed to them anyway and since they cannot make their ideas functional, their only other alternative is to try to convince us that what is happening isn’t really happening.
