It’s Because He Wants to Hurt You

If you want to understand the true nature of the Obama administration all you have to do is observe their behavior regarding the World War Two Memorial in Washington D.C. during this government shutdown. Debra Heine at Breitbart reports on the Obama administration’s barricading of the monument to prevent anyone from being able to visit it. This memorial is privately funded with donations. It is an open-air park that requires no government personnel to operate. There is, in fact, no economic reason to shut it down at all. To leave it open would cost nothing; the effort to keep it closed, on the other hand, does cost taxpayer dollars that the Obama administration has chosen to spend. Keeping you out is their way of punishing you for opposing the administration’s policies.

Now in order to understand the context here, we need to grasp that the shutdown is a fight over the size and scope of government. Jeffery Lord at The American Spectator brings us this very useful article in which he deals with the underlying issues surrounding this event. The left keeps pushing for larger and more intrusive government that controls every aspect of your life. Obama Care is the most dramatic and recent example of this, but the push had been going on now for a century, going back to the days of Woodrow Wilson.

Many Americans have reached their limit regarding this expansion of government power. The emergence of the Tea Party, the development of social media and alternative media and grassroots conservatism are all pushing back now against the Obama regime, as well as the political establishment of both parties, to stop the encroachment on our lives. The left is not happy about this development. And so we see the Obama thugs looking for ways to punish the serfs for their disobedience.

The use of barricades and police to keep American Citizens out of a free memorial to the veterans of WW II is only one of many examples of the petty, resentful and angry spite of Obama in response to the American people who have just about had it with these kinds of tactics. There have been many other examples of this during the shutdown and no doubt there will be more to come. But remember that they have a purpose. Obama is doing what tyrants always do. They cannot tolerate dissent from the people. They cannot allow the peons to alter the master plan. And so he looks for ways to punish dissent. Obama and his thugs will go out of their way to make it as clear and as painful to you as they possibly can that you should sit down and shut up and take what you are given. They are in charge, not you, and you had better remember it or they will find more ways to hurt you.
